My Favourite Collected Gallery Wall Inspiration on Instagram
In case you haven’t guessed it from the title of this post, I’ve had gallery walls on my mind a lot lately. There’s something about the way they fill a wall space with so much character & personality that really seems to add so much coziness to a space. And, whether they’ve got a linear, more streamlined look or perhaps more of a haphazard or miss-matched feel, a gallery wall is beautiful way to bring a cozy, collected vibe to any space. I’ve seen them used in virtually every room, from bathrooms to hallways and everywhere in between (I even wrapped one around a corner on our stairway!). I’ve actually got a few spots in mind for our own home.
I’ve been dreaming and scheming up gallery wall designs for this upstairs hallway for ages now. My Mother-in-law always had her upstairs hallway lined with family photos and I still remember how much fun we had as kids looking through all the photos every time we walked by. She always seemed to be adding new photos (this was true in every space throughout her home) and by the time we were all grown up and graduated, there must have been at least 50 photos lining that hallway in the most lovely, haphazard, collected sort of way. I’ve known since the day we moved into this house that I wanted to line our upstairs hallway in the same way and though I’m still not totally clear on just how I’m going to go about this in our own hallway yet, I’ve definitely been filing away all sorts of inspiration for when the time comes.

This big, blank wall in Carson’s room is definitely another space in our home that is just begging to be filled with a gallery wall. I’m picturing three large art pieces in ornate gold frames hanging just above that top shelf of his wainscotting. We’ve actually got some beautiful vintage prints from the Hudson Bay Company that would be SO perfect for this space, I just need to make some time to get them all framed up.

Finally, I’d love to add a gallery wall to this little wall space in our back hallway. I’m feeling much less clear on whether I want this one to have a collected, haphazard feel or more of a linear look with matching frames all hung in a grid pattern, but I do know that this is a well traveled little hallway in our home and I’d love to fill some frames with family photos that we can enjoy each and every time we walk through it.

With all of these different gallery walls on my mind lately, I’m sure it’s no surprise that I’ve been collecting all of the inspiration I can to help me fill them in an intentional way. And today, I wanted to share some of my favourites with you, along with the incredible Instagram accounts that created them.
