Instagram Saves: Built-In Bed Nooks
Sharing the built-in bed nooks that I’ve been saving as inspo for our son’s bedroom.
While we haven’t officially come up with a design plan for Carson’s new bedroom, we’ve definitely been brainstorming ideas and collecting inspiration since the day we moved into this new/old house of ours. On our wish list: wall panelling, a built-in desk area, a secret bookshelf door, wallpaper and a built-in bed. Carson has been begging for a built-in bed nook, something that feels like his own little cozy hideaway. While I’m not convinced he’s going to want to sleep in a little twin bed for long, I do think it’s a super fun idea that I’d love to explore. I think the most practical option might be keeping his double bed as his main bed, but maybe adding in a built-in bed nook for sleepovers. I also think that making it feel more like a daybed/sofa nook with reading lamps and book shelves might give it more longevity too as Carson grows older.
I’ve been saving any bed nook inspiration that has crossed my path this past year or so, hoping we could find some way to make C’s built-in bed nook dreams come to fruition in his new bedroom space. My Dad built a bed nook for me when I was a teenager. It is still my most favorite bedroom ever! Go for it!
