Insta Saves: Customized IKEA Pax Closet Hacks
How to make an inexpensive IKEA closet look like a custom built-in. Sharing our favourite IKEA Pax closet hacks.

Our new primary bedroom suite truly has been a labour of love. After two long years of planning + renovating, we’ve finally finished up our bedroom, ensuite and closet space and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s all come together. While our new walk-in closet was the last of these spaces to get wrapped up, it was actually the very first space that I had a really clear vision for. Before we even had the layout for our new bedroom suite worked out, I knew I wanted to create a space with loads of charm, including this gorgeous wallpaper and this classically styled light fixture. I also knew that to really give this space the character + charm I was looking for, we’d have to make sure the closet system had a custom, built-in feel. Having a custom cabinet maker would have been so much easier, but it would come at a cost that we just couldn’t justify paying and installing the IKEA Pax system as is just wouldn’t have felt finished in this space we’d already put so much work into. So, we decided to settle somewhere in the middle and try our hands a customizing the IKEA Pax closet system. I’m planning to share a full tutorial soon, but in the meantime, I wanted to share some of the beautiful IKEA Pax closet hacks that inspired our own DIY IKEA closet.
