All of the beautiful mudroom designs that have been inspiring me on Instagram lately.
Yesterday, I shared the new contrast trim in our mudroom (you can read more about it here if you missed it). I’m so head-over-heels in love with the warmth and cottagey character it brings to this space! While I’d always planned to paint out the trim in here, this dark, warm-grey trim was definitely inspired by my hopes to paint out those cabinets in our laundry room to match. Before I even had the idea to paint out this contrast trim, I was envisioning painting out these cabinets (I’ve been painting all the things lately – check out my list of simple updates I’ve got planned for our main floor here). While we do plan to gut and rework this entire space someday, there’s no reason I can’t find a way to love it in the mean time and paint is always such an easy go-to. In terms of impact, paint can pack a pretty big punch.
Mudrooms are a perfect place to have a bit of fun with design (which you’ll see in the photos below!). While I was searching out the perfect colour for our own mudroom space, the Saves folder on my Instagram was filling up with all sorts of gorgeous mudroom inspiration. I am planning to paint out our laundry cabinets in the same warm gray colour as the doors and trim throughout the rest of our mudroom space (Briarwood from Benjamin Moore), but I couldn’t help but share some of the mudroom spaces that have been inspiring these changes.
