Sharing all of the beautiful wallpaper inspiration that has been filling up my Instagram Saves folder lately.
It’s no secret that wallpaper is taking over the design world and for good reason – it’s such a brilliant way to bring pattern, colour and texture into a space and, with endless possibilities, it’s so fun to see the different ways that designers are putting it to work in their spaces.
While we definitely dipped our toes into the wallpaper world in a pretty bold way with our old basement bathroom (check it out here if you missed it!), I plan to bring a whole lot more into this new/old Tudor of ours. I just think the old world charm of this house is begging for the character and whimsey that wallpaper can bring. I haven’t exactly worked out a whole house design plan for this place yet, but here’s what I do know – neutral(ish) decor for our main living spaces (think living room, kitchen, primary bedroom) with more bold colours and patterns in some of the off-shoot areas like our mudroom, bathrooms and bedrooms. The thing is, bold is definitely a lot harder to pull off in terms of design than neutral, which is definitely pushing me outside my comfort zone, but when it’s done right, bold colours and patterns bring so much character and charm. Exactly what I’m looking for in this new/old Tudor.
I don’t have it all figured out just yet, but today, I thought it might be fun to give you a glimpse into some of the wallpaper inspiration that I’ve been saving on Instagram. There’s no denying that each of the spaces linked up below is filled to the brim with charm & character, packing a pretty big punch in terms of design. Would you ever bring wallpaper into your home?
