We’ve got a long list of things we love about our new/old house (you can read all about them here if you missed it). One of the many things that makes this house so special is the lighting. It stood out to us right from the start. Not only is it all incredibly well thought out (we couldn’t have designed the placement of everything better ourselves), but it truly adds so much character to this old tudor style cottage. Of all the types of lighting out there, wall sconces have always been my very favourite. It’s the perfect way to layer the lighting within a space and I love the design possibilities it provides in terms of showcasing some beautiful fixtures.

There’s a ton of lighting layers to play around with throughout this house, but the one that’s been on my mind the most lately are the sconces. There’s actually several different spaces throughout the house that feature wall sconces – the entryway, the staircase (both up and down), the upstairs hallway and the entire basement. In addition to that, we’re also planning on adding wall sconces to our primary bedroom and bathroom, as well as the kitchen and pantry through our renovations. Clearly I’ve got a thing for sconces. Can you blame me though? I have a feeling that after scrolling through today’s post, you’ll be right there with me! So, grab yourself a cup of coffee and let’s scroll some beautiful wall sconce inspiration together…
