{All Things Fall}
Good morning! It’s day two of {All Things Fall} – you know that CRAZY idea I had to post some Fall inspiration for y’all for 14 days straight! Eeeek! With a trip away for 3 days and hosting a Thanksgiving dinner to come back to, I’m still not sure what I was thinking. But, my house is looking cozier already and it’s definitely driving me to keep up! I’m still swooning over this scrappy Burlap & Lace Garland that I shared yesterday!
Today, I’m SO excited to be sharing this Barnwood FALL Sign that we made for our front porch.
This baby was such a cinch to put together! And believe it or not, it isn’t actually made from barnwood at all, just a few boards that we rescued from a garbage pile from the house going up across the street! Hubs shortened them all up, cutting them to about 2.5ish feet long. Wanting things to look rustic and scrappy, we weren’t super precise matching the ends and we were sure to leave the really rustic broken looking ones as is! We simply arranged them on the garage floor in the order that we liked best and screwed in a couple of boards running the opposite way down the back, making sure to hit each board across the front through both of the boards running along the back.
Once it was all put together, I added the word FALL to the top corner with some inexpensive letters (like $.99 each) that I found at Michaels. I decided to hot glue these down, that way if I wanted to remove them down the road, they’d be pretty easy to just rip off.
Finally, I made a little burlap banner for the front, just hot gluing some burlap triangles onto a string of jute. With a few well placed nails, I strung this over the front of the board, tying a little ribbon at the top.
And there you have it … a beautiful barn board Fall sign!
SUCH a simple project with SUCH a big, big impact! Look at how warm & welcoming our front porch is looking now!!!
And that might just be a peek at my front door wreath! Watch for the full tutorial next week!!!

I love this sign for fall! It looks great, and I wish I had space for one on my front porch. It could also work well on a table inside, so maybe I’ll give that a try. Great job!
Thank you Christie!!! It would look fab on a table too! We actually made this one for our front entry, but having not measured first, it was too big to live inside 😉
