Welcome back to our brand new {Back to Basics} series!
Where, on the second Monday of each month, we’ll be joining forces with an incredible group of bloggers – going back to the basics to bring you all sorts of lovely ideas and inspiration!
Today, we’re getting organized for back-to-school and I cannot wait to share this super simple way to display your children’s artwork…
With back-to-school just around the corner, what Mama isn’t looking for a little more organization?
It won’t be long before the kiddos are bringing home backpacks full of school work & art to hang all over the house. Instead of filling the front of your fridge (or maybe in addition to), I’ve got the perfect place to display it all…
And, the best part? It’s never been so easy to change it all out when the backpack comes home full of new treasures to display tomorrow!
You won’t believe how simple these were to make!!!
I started with a plain old 1×6 board. I cut mine to 5′ long, but obviously, you should make yours whatever length will work best in your space. After smoothing out the ends with some sandpaper, I brushed my board with a bit of stain (find the one I used here).
Then, I attached a picture hook like this onto the back of my board at each end. And on the front, I screwed an eyelet hook into the middle of my board at each end and another in the centre and fished a length of this twine through each one, tying a simple knot around the two end hooks to hold it in place.
After hanging it on the wall, I used some itsy-bitsy little clothespins to hang some artwork onto the string.
And friends, we have ourselves the most perfect little art hanger…
I absolutely adore these rustic art hangers!
They were so simple to make and those little clips make changing things out so quick and easy! I know they’ll make for such a perfect way to display Carson’s little art projects for years to come!
