SHARING MY FAVOURITE READS FROM THE WEEK

Oh my goodness – another week behind us and suddenly we find ourselves in October already! I don’t know about you, but I think September was hands down the fastest month of 2020. I swear I blinked and it was over!
Maybe because it our most jam-packed month yet, with back to school for C, back to work for me, not one, but TWO major renovation projects on the go and a whole lot of getting back into all those everyday activities and routines that we hadn’t had to think about since March. It’s been a steep learning curve as we muddled our way through it all, but I think we’re finally settling into things and finding our rhythm.
This week, not only did we manage to get all of the trim up down in the basement (fingers crossed I can get it painted this weekend!), but we also finally saw some progress on our deck build out back. We had the screw pile supports put in this week and while I’m painting all of the trim downstairs this weekend, Brady’s very excited to finally get started on building our new deck! I promise to share all the updates on Instagram this weekend, so stay tuned!
ON THE BLOG THIS WEEK
I dove deep into the question of what colour to paint a bulkhead. My answer might surprise you.

And I caught you up with all of our progress down in the basement.

And now, before I get back to working on all the things, here’s what I’ll be catching up with this weekend…
WEEKEND READING

I am absolutely obsessed with this gorgeous mauve dining room makeover!
Loving these incredible Fall landscape paintings.

This is SUCH a great resource about how to mix patterns when designing a room.
I never would have imagined peel and stick tile could look this good.

Love the idea of a little gift basket to say thanks.
This creamy pumpkin spice latte made with real pumpkin sounds heavenly.
As do these pumpkin cinnamon rolls.

And these pumpkin muffins. Sensing a theme here? #pumpkinspiceeverything

Thinking I’m going to whip up a batch of these condensed milk chocolate chip cookies this weekend. I think they’ll be a perfect treat for school lunches.

I’m wishing I could order one of everything from Half Baked Harvest’s new Etsy collection!

I can’t get enough of this relaxed and earthy Instagram feed.
And finally, it’s a little late in the year for a Beach Read, but that’s just what I’ll be curling up with this weekend. I’m nearly halfway through and it’s about the cutest, wittiest little book – I’m really enjoying it so far!
Wishing you the most lovely weekend my friends!
