SHARING MY FAVOURITE READS FROM THE WEEK

Oh my gosh, I can’t even believe another week has flown by already!
It’s been another week of trying to catch up on all the things around here – the basement reno, the deck build (which has been at a standstill for a few weeks now), my teaching work and of course all of the more typical real-life stuff like the never-ending piles of laundry and housework. It’s felt a lot like treading water just trying to keep afloat these days, but thankfully I think we made enough headway with all of our extra projects this past week that we can finally settle into things a bit more for the next little while.
This weekend, we’re hoping to get the yard cleaned up and ready for the deck piles to go in. We’ve been waiting on the final drawings for the deck build for weeks now and just got word yesterday that they’ve been sent off to the engineer for final stamping – SO exciting! We also ordered the carpet for the basement this week, which means we’ve got 10 days to get all of the trim work installed and painted before the carpets go in. I thought getting the walls painted made things feel real, I can’t wait to see how much cozier and closer to finished the basement will feel with the flooring installed! With the end of this basement reno in sight, I’m hoping to get all of the bathroom and wet bar materials ordered up this weekend too, so that we’re ready for that final push to the finish line.
On the blog this week
I shared a tour of our home all cozied up for Fall…

And now, before I get back to working on all the things, here’s what I’ll be catching up with this weekend…
WEEKEND READING

Loving the unexpected cheery mix of colours in this beautiful Fall tablescape.
And oh my goodness, this cozy kitchen – everything about it just feels so warm + inviting.

Speaking of Fall tablescapes, how dreamy does this cozy outdoor table look.

Thinking these Pull Apart Parmesan Sage Butter Brioche Rolls would be the perfect addition to any Fall table.

And while we’re on the topic of cozy kitchens, I couldn’t help but share this pretty DIY plate rack.

I just love the simplicity and rich texture of this foraged Fall wreath.
And if you’re looking for even more beautiful Fall inspiration, you won’t want to miss these gorgeous photos of the most lovely Fall porch.

Wishing you the most lovely weekend my friends!
