SHARING MY FAVOURITE READS FROM THE WEEK JUST IN TIME FOR THE WEEKEND.

What a year this week has been.
These words came across my path this week and, though they were nearly lost in the total overload of information I’ve been consuming this week, when I read them, they truly stopped me in my tracks. Maybe it’s simply this total overwhelm of our world speaking, but I truly can’t think of a more accurate way to describe the last week.
With all the talk of Covid 19 right now – all the news articles, all the science, all the recommendations and implications and forecasts and predictions – well, it can all feel quite overwhelming at times. And, while I think it’s important to stay up to date + informed about what’s going on, and of course do our part to help, I guess I just don’t want to be another voice to add to all the noise right now. There’s only so much space we can hold for it all and so, I’m choosing to leave that to people far more knowledgable about our situation than I. What I do want to say however, is that we’re all in this together. The entire world is walking this very same journey and though there is certainly a lot of fear + sadness in the world right now, there has also been so much kindness to see as well.

And so, I’m going to continue to do my very best to find some balance between all that chaos + fear with some calm + light. Today, instead of starting my day seeking out the latest news headlines, I’m going to let myself enjoy my coffee while I catch up with a few of my favourite reads this week first…
