Weekend Reading #198
A quick little update & my favourite reads from the week.

Happy Friday my friends! How was your week? Ours flew by in a blink, I can’t believe we’re heading into the weekend again already! If you caught my post on Instagram earlier this week, you’ll already know that we’re making a few little changes to our living room space. So far we’ve swapped out the coffee and end table (mostly because I wanted to bring some tables into our study and I loved the scalloped details on these beauties). I have a couple more pieces on the way that I think will help this space function a little better for our family – can’t wait to share more soon!
Carson had a blast trick-or-treating with his buddies (they all dressed up as a “bunch” of bananas – it was really cute!). While I hate to rush through life too much, I have to say I’m SO happy Halloween is behind us so we can officially welcome in the Christmas season around here! Too early for some (and that’s totally fair), but Christmas has always been my favourite time of year and I love to stretch out that holiday magic as long as I can.
While I wish I could spend my weekend setting up our tree and filling the house with all things Christmas, there’s painting to be done in our primary bedroom and ensuite bath and I have to say, I’m not one bit sad about it – I can’t even tell you how excited I am to FINALLY be at the painting stage in here! Between shiplap, doors and trim, let’s just say I’ve got several days of painting ahead of me and, rather than wait until Brady’s completely done installing every last bit of it, I think I’d rather get a head start on things now and break up the work a bit. We’re still waiting on our solid core doors to come (our supplier ordered hollow core by mistake), which means we can’t officially finish up the doors and trim until they arrive (hopefully soon!!!). There’s still plenty to do while we wait though! I think this weekend Brady’s planning to move onto the box trim in our bedroom and, while he’s installing that, I’m hoping to get the shiplap painted in our ensuite so that we can move onto installing our plumbing fixtures. It’s sure to be a busy weekend around here, but with that finish line in sight now, we’re both eager to see the end of this one!

On the blog lately…

And now, here are my favourite reads from the week…
My favourite reads from the week…
Very excited about Ben Moore’s colour palette for the year ahead. Thinking I may just need to find a spot to try out that Ashwood Moss.
Chris Loves Julia dropped some new rugs with Loloi and I am SO in love with them all. Been debating between this one and this one for our living room – which would you go with?
6 things to save on when renovating your home.
It’s officially soup season and this creamy homestyle chicken noodle has my name written all over it.
Loved following along with this transformation!
The Instagram account I just can’t get enough of this week.

Finally, here’s the book I’ve been curling up with this week.
Wishing you the most lovely weekend! Let me know if you have any fun plans in the comments below!
