Sharing my favourite reads from the week just in time for the weekend.
Happy Friday friends!
I’ve got to say, I’m not sure I’ve ever been so happy to see a weekend roll in!
My goodness, what a busy few weeks it’s been. Between parent-teacher interviews, Halloween and just the general busyness of working full time (and my inability to keep up with it all), it’s been ages since I’ve found the time to sit down to catch up with y’all. But, with an extra long weekend ahead, I’m sure looking forward to catching up with all things blog – lately I’ve had more ideas than time, so I’m hoping to take advantage of this extra time at home to knock out a few of those projects I’ve been dreaming up!
If you follow along on Instagram, you’ll know that we made some pretty bold changes to C’s bedroom last weekend…
Which of course, has sparked plans for a few other updates for the space as well – picture black iron, rich wood tones and a whole lot of plaid. Speaking of plaid, I’ve been on the hunt for some rustic plaid bedding for ages now, if you have any suggestions about where I can look, I’d love to hear them!
In other news, the last of our kitchen cabinets are scheduled to be installed this afternoon! After working through this reno project for more than a year now, I couldn’t be more excited to see things finally finished up (catch up with our reno progress here)! Keep an eye out on Instagram for some behind the scenes peeks at all of that.
And now, while the house is still quiet and with my coffee in hand, here’s what I’ll be catching up with this weekend…

Speaking of healthy, these 12 recipes look good enough to make the whole family beg for brussel sprouts!
This pumpkin gooey butter cake looks SO delish!
How to design and maintain a clean house (because y’all know how much I love a clean house!).
Ever wondered about the best ways to care for your sweaters?
I am SO head over heels in love with these charming, character filled houses (especially the first one)!
Some great suggestions about what to do with your life in November.
Wishing you a lovely weekend my friends!

I really enjoyed this one! I can’t wait to go home and try out some of those brussel sprout recipes, and I loved the natural skin care post (I’ve been working towards an all natural skincare routine for a while now and this just confirmed I’m on the right track). And your plans for Carson’s room sound super cute I can’t wait to see it when you’re all done!
Thanks so much Emily! I actually thought of you when I found those brussel sprout recipes! So happy you enjoyed these reads as much as I did!
