About me
Hello!
I’m Kristi, writer and creator behind Making it in the Mountains. I am a wife, a mother & a teacher.
In 2015, we left our lovely home in the Kootenay mountains (hence the fab blog name!) to move back to our little home town in northern Alberta. Though we miss the charming town, our wonderful friends and of course, being able to enjoy our favourite hobbies right in our backyard, we couldn’t be happier to be back HOME surrounded by forest, big skies and most important of all, living closer to our family!
Our home.
In keeping with our new DIY lifestyle, we’ve pushed ourselves a bit ton outside our comfort zone buying our first ever “fixer-upper” and what an adventure it’s been! We’ still can’t believe how far we’ve come!
My family.
Meet the loves of my life: my hubs Brady & our handsome little man, Carson! Between these two very adventurous men in my life, our sweet pup Charley, and a never-ending list of home projects, our little family is always on the go – which is just the way I like it!
