Renovation Update | April 2026

Renovations take time my friends. This old tudor of ours is a perfect example of that. Honestly, this house has evolved slower than any other we’ve taken on, but it’s also my very favourite of them all – maybe because we’ve given ourselves permission not to rush through to get it done. But, today’s post is proof that we are ever so slowly creeping our way forward through these renovations. In looking back at our first project list for 2026, we’ve already managed to cross off the first three items on the to-do list! Though, to be fair, I still have to hang some artwork around our guest room. This weekend, I’m hoping to tackle number four.

I painted out our guest room in the most gorgeous cameleon colour – it depending on the lighting, it can read beige, pink or even lavender, sometimes even all at once! It’s honestly SO gorgeous! I’m definitely going to have to find another room to use it again. We got all of our furniture and decor moved in a couple of weeks ago, but I’m still deciding on artwork for the walls in here. Thoughts?

We also managed to get the rest of the trim installed around our second floor hallway, which, with 7 doors, was a big job. It took me ages to decide on a colour to paint it all out, along with those 7 new doors), but I finally got some paint ordered up a few weeks ago and I’m excited to start painting it all out this weekend! Stay tuned to my Insta-stories for some sneak peeks.

If I love it as much as I think I will, may just paint out our old railing to match too!
Like I said, progress can feel painfully slow at times, but I have all the faith that we’re moving ourselves in the right direction. Here’s hoping I can get through some painting this weekend and I have more progress to share with you soon.
Wishing you SUCH a lovely day my friends!
