Happy Friday my friends! And a VERY happy May Long to my fellow Canadians!!! Whoop, whoop! Hoping you’ll be enjoying beautiful weather and fabulous company for the long weekend!
Last week was a BIG week here on making it in the mountains as we shared our first ever total room makeover! Not only did we transform a boring, outdated bedroom into a rustic cabin-themed retreat for our little man (you can check out the design plans including our paint colours here), but we did it all in just SIX WEEKS as part of the One Room Challenge! It was an absolute whirlwind, but I’ve gotta say, I’m still living off the high of having made it through!
We are absolutely thrilled with how it all came together and I can’t thank you all enough for your sweet comments as you encouraged us through the challenge and congratulated us on the results! It really means the world to us!
I’ve had a ton of questions coming my way about where I found everything and I’m so happy to be spilling the beans today about all of the sources for our Rustic Boy Bedroom makeover!!!
If you followed along throughout the challenge (find a recap of each week here), you may have noticed mention of this BRILLIANT new way to keep track of products, materials and most importantly, budget! Seriously, think Pinterest with a handy budget tracker my friends. Genius, right?! It was so easy to pin each fabulous find to my Rustic Big Boy Bedroom board, making note of the price, and Itsums automatically added it to the budget I had set (read more about how it all works here), not only keeping track of everything I wanted to purchase for the room, but also keeping track of what I’d spent.
So, my friends, if you’re looking to find the sources for or cost of any of the awesome finds for our Rustic Big Boy Bedroom, just hop on over to my Itsums Board for all the details! You can click on any of the pins to shop the room.
Itsums was SUCH a handy tool to have through this room makeover and I just know it’s going to prove itself an invaluable resource as we work through each room in our home!

Hi Kristi!
I’m wondering where you got the comforter and pillow cases? I’m in love with them! I looked at the source list, and didn’t see it listed. Forgive me if I missed it. But I’d love to know where you found them – they’re fabulous!
Warmest Regards,
Cynthia
I’m thrilled that you love them! I found the duvet cover set at IKEA Cynthia and the sheet set at Simons. Happy shopping!
