Good morning friends!
Does the new year have you dreaming of revamping a space in your home?
I’ll tell ya, it’s sure got me dreaming and scheming around here. In fact, you can read all about my lofty goals for 2016 here.
It’s a long list. And honestly, I’m not sure how realistic it all is. But, a girl can dream, can’t she?
One of the many rooms on our hit list for 2016 is our main bathroom (find photos in our house tour here).
I’m not sure I’ve told y’all about how much I really hate this bathroom.
It’s got these awful textured walls that are covered in an equally awful blue paint. It’s actually quite large, but you’d never know with a giant corner tub taking up most of it. Did I mention the tub has jets. Some people love jetted tubs – I am not one of them. It drives me nuts that I can’t really clean every inch of that tub (who knows what’s been growing inside those jets!). Beside our sink, there are these strange cubbies built in between the studs, with pieces of black tinted glass for shelves. Fancy, right? It’s got an ugly shower and old toilet that you have to hold the handle down for ages to actually flush. Not to mention, a sink that takes forever to drain. Top it all off with an ugly mirror, even uglier faucets and the ugliest of all, a mirrored light that looks like it belongs in a scuzzy gas station bathroom and we’ve got ourselves what must be the worst bathroom in history.
Ya’ll think I’m exaggerating, don’t you?
Okay, maybe I’m being a touch dramatic. But still, I really hate it.
At least now, I’m sure you can understand why I’ve been designing my dream bathroom since the moment we moved into this house.
Our new, dreamy bathroom is going to be a light, bright and airy space filled with neutral colours and just a touch of sparkly chrome (click on through that button on the bottom to see each and every pretty detail)…
This is most definitely the makings of a dreamy bathroom in my books!
Here’s hoping this is one of the projects we actually get through in 2016!!!
Are you planning any renovations this year? I’d love to hear about what’s on your list for 2016!
Wishing you SUCH a lovely day!

Oooo this does sound dreamy! Love all the warm neutrals paired with that wood. Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
Thanks so much Bre! Who knows if we’ll actually be able to pull something like this off, but a girl can dream, right? 😉
Looking forward to seeing your vision realized in 2016. Looks to be a beautiful makeover!
Awwww, thanks so much Marie! Here’s hoping we can knock this one out!
