Sharing some simple Fall decorating ideas to make your home feel cozy all season long.

There’s no questions that Fall has made its way to our little town here in Northern Alberta. The air is crisp and the forests that surround us are filled to the brim with the most beautiful Fall colours. The season is certainly living up to its name as the leaves make their way to the ground more and more with each passing day. The other day, as Carson and I were eating lunch, we were totally captivated by these little tornados of leaves swirling to the ground outside our kitchen windows, like a blizzard of leaves with each new gust of wind. It was actually really neat to watch.
We’re currently knee deep in house projects (you can catch up with everything we’ve been working on lately here), but in between all the painting projects and renovation planning, I just couldn’t help but dig out a few Fall decorations to cozy things up as the weather turns cool. While I didn’t have time to do much in terms of decorating this year, it turns out a little plaid and few pumpkins can go a long way to warming up things up. Even though I don’t have a whole house full of decor to share with you this year, I hope you can find some inspiration in the simple Fall touches I’ve scattered around the house – hopefully it shows you that even the smallest amount of effort and expense can make all the difference to creating a warm & cozy home as the cool Fall season rolls in.
Cozy Fall Decor
A pair of olive topiaries, a simple Fall candle and little carved pumpkin were all it took to cozy up our little entryway.

I scattered a few more pumpkins and candles around the living room and draped a simple plaid blanket over the sofa to really layer in those cozy Fall colours and textures.

The kitchen and study also got a few little Fall touches with yet more pumpkins, candles and a simple olive branch wreath.

While I scattered little bits of Fall decor all throughout out home, our front porch is where I concentrated most of my effort. Though it’s not near as big as our old porch, I’ve always loved cozying up our front porch. It’s such an easy way to spread the joy of each season to all of our friends and neighbours.

Decorating for the season doesn’t have to be extravagant to make your home feel warm & welcoming. I hope this leaves you feeling inspired to bring a few simple Fall touches into your home this season. What are some of your favourite ways to make your home feel warm & cozy as Fall rolls in?
Wishing you SUCH a lovely day my friends!Â
