This simple farmhouse Christmas tablescape is the perfect backdrop for a lovely holiday dinner!
Hello, hello friends! I’m SO happy you’re here!
It’s SUCH an exciting time for us right now…
You see, not only is it Christmas, undoubtedly the most magical time of the year!
But, in honour of this special time, just a few short weeks ago, we’d decided to completely makeover our tired old dining space (find the before photos here) just in time for some holiday entertaining.
We gave ourselves one weekend to totally transform the space and friends, not only did we pull it off, but it turned out even better than I ever could have imagined!
Now, I’m not going to reveal the entire space just yet (because really, what would be the fun in that?!). But, I am going to share one heck of a sneak peek…
I mentioned our beautiful new dining furniture from The Brick when I laid out all of our plans for the space. And today, I can’t wait to show you the farmhouse Christmas tablescape I put together on our gorgeous new table!
Putting this look together was easier than you’d think.
I started with a simple cedar garland running down the centre of my table. I also draped a bit of silver ribbon all along the top of it.
Then, I centred a rustic looking hurricane candle holder at either end of my table.
Finally, I scattered a few pretty tea light holders (similar here) along the edges of my garland and placed a small mercury glass tree right in the centre of it all.
Though a centerpiece with a bit more height can look more dramatic, I love the practicality of this simpler set up.
With the centerpiece complete, it was time to set the table.
I started with these beautiful new dishes that I picked up at Pottery Barn. I’ve been eyeing them up for ages and I couldn’t have been more excited to finally have had an excuse to finally get them!
I just love how timeless and classic they look!
And of course, I couldn’t have these lovely new dishes with some beautiful new flatware to match!
Some simple linen napkins and pretty hobnail glasses rounded out the table decor.
And finally, I couldn’t resist tying these sweet little wreaths around my chair tops! I think they pair so perfectly with the chippy white paint of those gorgeous Hancock Park chairs!
Seeing this beautiful table all set up for Christmas truly gives me all the feels. I cannot wait to see our family gathered around it!

And of course the beautiful Hancock Park dining set from The Brick…
I’d love for you to pop back later this week to see the full reveal of our new dining space! In the mean time, I’ll leave you with one last sneak peek…
With less than a week until the big day, I’m thrilled to be teaming up with some amazing bloggers to bring you all sorts of inspiration for your holiday entertaining!

Just found this almost a year later, but your room is beautiful. I recently had to discard my beautiful repurposed dining buffet due to termites. Is your buffet a dresser or dining buffet? It’s exactly what I’m looking for.
Thank you Connie! I’m so happy you love it! I’m sorry to hear about your buffet, what a shame. Just as you thought, this is actually a dresser – I love the extra storage it brings!
