5 Simple ideas to help you transition your home decor for Spring.
Spring is in the air, the snow has almost melted away and, I don’t know about you, but we are SO ready for the sunshine and warmer temperatures to take over once again. While the weather’s been warming up outside these past few weeks, I’ve been busy adding little Spring touches inside the house as well. Simple little things that make all the difference as we welcome in a new season once again. Today, I thought I’d share some of the things I like to swap out around the house to make our home feel light + airy through the warmer months ahead.
5 Simple Ideas to Decorate your Home for Spring
ONE: Add some greenery.
I love to display branches and plants throughout our home all year round – it’s the best way to bring some colour and life into a space. Through the Winter months I like to use evergreen branches and stems, but in the Spring, I always swap those out for something a bit brighter. Whether it’s florals or a more vivid green stem, I love bringing in a pop of colour through the warmer months.
TWO: Lighter + brighter pillows and throws.
As the warmer weather rolls in, I always swap out textiles for something with a lighter weave and a bit more colour. Changing out a few cushions and throws is a quick + easy way to update the look and feel of your living room for the change in season.
THREE: Fresh scents.
Scents can be such a mood boost. Whether is spicy and warm through the Winter or fresh and floral through as the weather grows warm, I am always burning candles or running diffusers throughout our home to fill it with the scents of the season. I’ve been putting these essential oils to work in our diffusers each morning as I make my coffee and then burning this candle each evening after dinner. I love the subtle scents they fill our home with!
FOUR: Spring wreaths inside + out.
The very first thing I do with each change in season is swap out the wreath on our front door. But, perhaps a little more unexpected, I love to scatter wreaths throughout the inside of our home too! Adding a wreath is such an easy way to bring a pop of colour to a wall, shelf or door.
FIVE: Colourful Artwork.
Whether it’s a vintage painting or an inexpensive print, scattering some colourful art around your home is a lovely way to make your home feel warm and welcoming through the warmer months. I rounded up my favourite Spring art prints and inexpensive frames to display them here if you’re on the hunt for some inspiration.
I hope these simple Spring decor ideas have you feeling inspired to scatter a little Spring around your home as we head into these warmer months.
Wishing you such a lovely day!
