Happy Friday friends!!! We’ve made it through another week and the weekend is almost here! Any special plans? We’re hoping to head to Jasper National Park for a bit of skiing (and maybe some shopping too). We’re definitely missing having the Kootenays in our backyard, but at least having the majestic Rocky Mountains so close at hand gives us something to look forward to! We grew up skiing, biking and exploring the Rockies and there’s really nothing like them!
Life is feeling a little more normal these days and I’m excited to say that we’ve officially started to work on a few projects around our new home! In fact, if you follow along on Facebook or Instagram you may have even seen a sneak peek or two! I cannot wait to share what we’ve been up to! I’m also hoping to share a little tour of our new home next week (FINALLY, right?!) and of course, with that some of what we’re planning hoping to do to it. Trust me, it’s chalk full of possibility (that’s a good thing, right?).
I may not have kept up with my own projects lately (thanks Bloggy friends for filling in the gaps through the never ending move!), but I’ve certainly been adding to my to-do lists with some truly inspiring projects …
I feel like I’m seeing industrial inspired DIY’s everywhere these days and I swear I fall more and more in love with that rustic look with each and every project I see! I really fell in love with this style when Nicole of Sweet {Jolie} took us for a tour through her STUNNING home filled with a ton of industrial elements used in some really unique ways! I’m still working out a place to inject some of this industrial inspiration into our already confused style (imagine rustic cabin mixed with country cottage – still not sure how/ if I’ll be able to pull that off!) – I’m thinking our basement space would look pretty awesome with some rustic elements mixed in and Carson’s cabin themed room might just make use of a few industrial/ barn decor elements as well. Regardless of where they might end up, I’m crushing on all things industrial right now and, just in case you’re thinkin’ they’re pretty great too, I couldn’t help but share a few of my fave industrial style DIY projects that are sure to inspire!
Now, tell me you can’t picture a great place in your own home for some of these fabulous industrial inspired DIY’s!
Wishing you SUCH a lovely weekend!
PS. Find me sharing here and Savvy Southern Style.
