A quick little update & my favourite reads from the week.
Happy Friday my friends! I hope you had a wonderful week! Ours felt very full with work, school and house projects, but somehow we managed to keep our evenings relatively low key this week, testing out some new board games and enjoying some family time together.
On the home front this week, we’ve officially ordered all of the hardwood floors for upstairs including our hallway and all of the bedrooms. While I flip-flopped for months between light and dark, ultimately I decided to just go with my gut and I couldn’t be more excited to see how they transform the look and feel of our second floor! Today, I’m off to the city to shop for carpet for our Pyramid Room (the bonus space above our garage). I’ll try to remember to bring you along for the ride and share some sneak peeks over on Instagram.
Through the weekend ahead, we’re planning to keep plugging along with our renos upstairs. You can catch up with last weekend’s progress here if you missed it. Here’s hoping we can get the drywall all finished up. I’ve also got to sneak in one last long run before my half marathon, which is coming up in just a couple of weeks! I’ve got 20km to run through this Sunday, wish me luck my friends!
Do you have any fun plans for the weekend ahead? I’d love to hear what you’ll be up to!
