A quick little catch up and my favourite reads from the week.

One more week. One. Honestly, where did December even go?! I can’t even believe we’re just one week away from Christmas, two from the end of 2022. It’s been a busy month around here, but the best kind of busy really. Our days have been filled with food & fun, friends and family, ski trips, city trips, holiday plays & Christmas movies – we’ve all just been soaking up every bit of this magical time of year. We’ve been baking up a storm (Carson and I put together a holiday baking list each year), sipping holiday cocktails (find our faves here) and serving up all sorts of delicious spreads (find 30 yummy appy ideas here). The fun will continue through the weekend ahead as we host a small holiday gathering tomorrow (with a ton of help from my sister-in-law, who is such an incredibly talented chef) and Sunday we’ll be attending Brady’s company kid’s party. And then next week, it’ll just be a matter of finishing up a few odds and ends before Christmas weekend rolls in (I can’t even believe I’m saying that!). I’m planning to cook up our Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve (just as we always do), so in between all of the shopping, wrapping and baking, I’ve been hard at work planning all of that. I’m hoping to share the final menu here on the blog on Monday, but you can check out last year’s menu here if you’re looking for some ideas (there are definitely some repeat dishes planned for this year’s dinner). Are you feeling ready for the big day?
