Nothing says Christmas like the cozy glow of a Christmas tree! While we love to fill the house with all things Christmas, decorating the tree with all the trimmings is one of our most treasured holiday traditions each year. Yesterday, I shared some of my favourite artificial trees and today, I thought it would be fun to dive into some of the trimmings that really make them shine!
We’ve been decorating not one, but two trees for the last few years – the tree in our main living room is a little more polished and intentionally put together, while our second tree is much more nostalgic, filled with all of the special ornaments we’ve collected through the years. I love that we have the opportunity to try out two different looks each year – I get to flex my decorating muscles with our main tree, while Carson has all the say with the tree in our Study.
Here’s a little look back at our Christmas trees past…
I always set up a more nostalgic tree full of our most treasured family ornaments too, one that is all about embracing the beauty of perfectly imperfect. Carson always takes the lead with this one, directing Brady and I to help to place each and every special ornament in its rightful spot. Last year, we set that one up in the Study, right in the front window of our home.
