I am so, so excited to be taking part in an amazing holiday blog hop hosted by the sweetest bloggy friend, Kendra at Joy in our Home!
If you’re popping over from this gorgeous Christmas porch at Lemons, Lavender & Laundry, or one of the other fabulous holiday home tours, I want to send out the biggest welcome! Thank you SO much for stopping by!
Those that have been following along with our adventures lately, will know that our entire main floor is an absolute disaster thanks to an ill-timed kitchen and living room renovation (if you haven’t heard about our biggest reno project yet, you can read more about all the madness here)…
I’m not sure what exactly we were thinking starting it all when we did (doesn’t everyone plan their renovations around holiday decorating?!). What I do know is, it will all be worth it in the end.
In the mean time, I’ve been hard at work, spreading Christmas cheer to all the places in our home that haven’t been taken over by all the dust and disaster that comes with a major renovation.
And through it all, somehow we’ve managed to salvage some semblance of Christmas coziness + tradition.
Luckily, one of my very favourite spaces to decorate each Christmas isn’t actually inside the house at all, but outside instead…
With just a simple wreath hung on the door and each of the windows, I love how easy it is to make our home look cozy + welcoming through the holidays.
I love to put both real and faux greens to work throughout the space, I really think it adds a lot of richness to the whole look.
Sitting on this comfy Park Terrace Outdoor Sectional from The Brick is our favourite place to be all Summer long and, though we’re not spending much time curled up on it through these cold Winter months, I still think it brings such a cozy + welcoming feeling to our front porch.
It looks so lovely dressed up with holiday decor + the water repellant upholstery and UV resistant resin rattan wicker frame make it durable enough to leave outside all year long.
The inside of our home might be a total and complete disaster at the moment, but luckily from the outside, our house still looks as pretty + put together as ever this holiday season…
I want to send out such a big thank you for stopping by! Be sure to carry on with the holiday home tour with this gorgeous porch space from Elizabeth Joan Designs and of course check out all of the fabulous holiday decorating ideas below:

Despite the cold winter, that seating area looks so cozy… I might just sit there under a blanket, drinking coffee (and pretend I’m not freezing). Such a beautiful space! Good luck with the renovations!
Hahaha! We totally do that in the Spring and Fall! Thanks so much Erin!
hey girl- love the porch! so pretty!
Thanks so much sweet friend!
Everything looks so Country Beautiful. You have made it look so inviting to just walk right in to more….But as you say the inside is disaster… have heart… This won’t always be, and you can remember the hard times with the reno and be thankful for the finished product even more….Thank you for sharing your beautiful home areas that are done….. We started 15 years ago to finish the inside of our home in lock-up stage… Started like it was a small cabin in the center of the home and worked ourselves out… and up…. It’s finally finished … 8 bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms…. Now we are tired… LOL…
Oh wow!!! What a HUGE project to take on, but you’re right, so very rewarding knowing how hard you worked for it all. Thank you so, so much! Merry Christmas Jan!
Great post today! Just loved doing this tour with you!

I always enjoy decorating my front porch, too. Yours is so pretty! I love all of the greenery, it really adds some warmth for this time of year when it is so chilly. I also love your DIY shutters and that accent door. I CAN’T wait to see what your home looks like after the reno!!!
