Hello! Kelly here from North Country Nest, back with a rustic-inspired DIY project easy enough for all you beginners out there.
Even better? If you have some fabric scraps around the house and some modge podge, all you need to pick up is a dollar store ornament.
Fabric Scrap Ornament Supplies
– Eight fabric scraps, cut into one-inch strips about six inches long
– Dollar store ornament
– Modge podge
– Scrap paint brush
– Twine
How to Make a Fabric Scrap Ornament
Step one. Take off the top of your ornament.
Step two. Brush a thick layer of modge podge around the the ornament and lay the strip of fabric down and cover with more modge podge.
Step three. Repeat step two three more times with the same pattern of fabric.
Step four. Then repeat step two four more times with the other pattern of fabric strips.
Step five. Once the ornamnet is dry, put the top back on, paint a layer of modge podge over the top and wrap with twine until it’s entirely covered.
Step six. Cut another piece of twine to be used as the hanger.
Until next month!
All my best,
I can't wait to hear your thoughts!
