You won’t believe how simple this dreamy DIY Master Bedroom Closet was to design and create! And, with a place for everything, it’s the perfect way to organize it all!
Hello friends! I’m so, so excited!!!
You see, I’ve literally been waiting months to share this reveal with y’all!
We actually started this project all the way back in March. But, between bathroom renos, a fourth birthday, a trip to Mexico and a few office projects along the way, what should have been a weekend project ended up stretching on for nearly four months.
That’s four long months of living without any closet space at all.
Which, as you’ve likely guessed, has been less than ideal for my “type a” personality.
So, you can imagine how happy it makes me to finally, FINALLY be sharing our finished closet space with y’all today!
{sigh}
Okay, so maybe this sounds silly (or perhaps a touch dramatic) to you, but I had no idea I could love a closet THIS much!
I’ll tell you, it’s an incredible feeling to begin my day in such a pretty space, with such perfect organization that’s completely customized to our exact needs.
And who knew it could be so simple?! This DIY custom closet system that hubs created made it SO easy to completely customize the space.
I love that there is just so much storage space, and even better, all 4′ 11 3/4″ of me can now reach even the highest shelf!
It really is such a perfect space! That removable wallpaper is pretty amazing and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of that classically styled light.
But of course, the best part by far is that everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) has a place!
With the customized shelves that hubby built, I’ve got more storage space than I know what to do with! Now isn’t that a wonderful problem to have?!
And, I especially love that we’ve got a few extra hooks to hang things like bags, hats or even that pair of jeans that I only wore for a couple of hours and I’m not quite done with yet.
And, with a quick coat of paint, that old chair will be the perfect spot to sit while I’m putting on those finicky strappy sandals or to drape a sweater over the back of instead of piling it all on the chairs in our bedroom (this is a big one for us!).
I swear, I can’t help but smile every time I walk into this space!
I love the rich look the wood brings into the space and I think the light tones pair perfectly with that fun wallpaper and the pretty light.
And of course, most importantly, I can’t get over how perfectly this new closet space functions for us! Having a place for everything and everything in it’s place has made getting ready each day so much more enjoyable!
As with all of our other reno projects, we made good use of our favourite planning tool, Itsums. Think Pinterest my friends, but with a handy budget tracker and even more organizational capabilities – I swear, there’s no better way to keep track of it all! Pop on over to my {Master Bedroom Design board} on Itsums for all the details, including links to each and every product we used and what this all ended up costing us in the end.
Just in case you missed them, you can find links all of the products we used below:

I want to send out such a big, big thank you to the following brands for sponsoring this DIY master bedroom closet and for making it so darn easy to recommend their fabulous products!
Wishing you SUCH a lovely day!

Thank you so, so much Kristina! I’m thrilled that someone sent you my way (and super curious about who it might have been)! I can’t wait to hop around your blog and social media to see what you’re all about too! And thanks for the sweet words about our closet, I love that fixture and have actually thought about how perfect it would be in a hallway.
Thanks again Kristina, looking forward to getting to know you.
Your closet is stunning! I LOVE the system, so simple and brilliant! Amazing job!!
Thank you so, so much Mindi! I couldn’t be happier with how it all came together!
Very nice, just wondering if your husband has a closet too, because no men’s clothes in the white spotlessness!
Hahaha, good eye Linda! I’m surprised your the first one to comment on this actually. I do share this closet with my hubby – his clothes just didn’t look quite as cute hanging in there, so I left them out for the pictures. He’s taken over a few of the empty shelves now though. 😉 Thanks Linda!
Your new closet is beautiful in every way. I know you enjoy starting your day there. Love that your hubby designed it. I want one! Thanks for sharing with us at Merry Monday.
Thank you so, so much! I couldn’t be happier with how it all came together (even if it did take muuuuch longer than it should have)! 😉
This is like an organizers dream. I love it. It reminds me of having a store behind my closet door! Thank you for sharing at Home Sweet Home!
Awwww, thank you Sherry! I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out!

Nice job on your closet, the wallpaper makes it such a cheerful spot to go into.
Thank you SO much! I absolutely adore that wallpaper!
What are the dimensions of your closet? I’m thinking about using your plans and doing something similar but trying to wrap my head around actual space needs. Thanks!
Beautiful! I love the master bedroom. You did a fabulous job on it and it is definitely one of my favorites. I’m so excited to decorate my bedroom. Have a blessed day!
Thank you so much!
