Sharing some simple farmhouse fall bedroom decor ideas to help you bring a little cozy to your bedroom space this Fall.
It’s official my friends. The air is growing crisp + cool, the leaves are turning and I’m totally craving all things pumpkin spice…
Fall is creeping in and I for one, couldn’t be more excited about it!
Sweaters, scarves + boots. Cozy blankets. Flickering candles. Routine, renovations + knocking out all the projects. I mean really, what’s not to love?!
As the days grow colder and Fall creeps it’s way in, I’m finding myself bringing in all the cozy I can. And I know I’m not alone. I’m so, so excited to be teaming up with some of my very favourite fellow Canadian bloggers to bring you all sorts of Fall decorating inspiration with our Canadian Blogger Fall Home Tour!
All week long we’ll be sharing tours of our homes all decked out and cozied up for Fall – you’ll find links to each of the home tours at the end of this post.
But first, I can’t wait to share our own Fall bedroom space…
Now, it’s still early days in our Fall season here in northern Alberta. Though there’s definitely a crisp + cool bite to the air already, the leaves are just starting to turn, and the pumpkins haven’t made their way into the grocery stores just yet. Fortunately, I’ve got a few pretty faux versions to tide me over in the mean time.
With the temperatures dropping (and quite quickly I might add), creating a cozy nest to crawl into at the end of a long, cold day was obviously essential.
With the softest set of flannel sheets, a big fluffy duvet and an extra quilt just in case, we’re all set for these cooler Fall nights.
I think layering in all these textures really makes everything feel so soft + cozy.
And having a few extra blankets lying around never hurts.
A few pops of green help to keep things feeling warm – I’ve always adored olive branches for Fall + Winter because of their soft, yet moody colours.
And of course, nothing says warm + cozy like some lovely candles to light.
Really, it doesn’t take much to make a space feel warm + cozy. I think the key is bringing in layers – layers of textures, layers of finishes, layers of light.

I love your little faux fireplace! That definitely ups the cozy factor significantly! Thanks so much for the tour! I’m definitely feeling inspired to get cozy!
Ahhhh, thank you Courtenay! I love that cozy faux fireplace too – it’s so fun to decorate each season!
I love how clean and cozy your decorating is! I was curious if you had past articles or if you have any tips to share on how you keep smaller items like makeup, jewelry, mail, etc. organized throughout your house to keep it looking so great? I would love to clear table and dresser tops to allow a cleaner look 🙂 Love your blog!
I’m just LOVING the silver accents! Right?

Thank you so much Kira! I love using the mercury glass as it transitions to Winter so easily too (obviously I pull out all those pumpkins though!).
Thank you so, so much Ashley! Clutter has always overwhelmed me, so I definitely need to keep our home as clean, uncluttered as possible. Honestly, I’m just really careful not to hang on to too much “stuff”, and everything I do choose to keep has a specific place it belongs (which is usually somewhere out of sight, so I can keep my surroundings feeling really clean and uncluttered). I actually shared a series a couple of years ago about decluttering our home, you can find all of the posts here: https://www.makingitinthemountains.com/organizing/. Hopefully this helps, but definitely reach out if you have any more questions or want me dive deeper into things (maybe I should put together a post?!). Thanks again!!!
Thank you so much for the link! I just read nearly all of your organizing posts and loved them! With our first little one on the way, I can’t wait to start on some of these projects to bring a little more calm and organization to our household. <3
Oh, that’s wonderful Ashley! I’m thrilled to hear that you’re feeling inspired! This may sound a bit dramatic, but it’s totally true – decluttering and getting organized has really been life changing for us. Without all the extra stuff, our whole house just feels so much more calm, peaceful and tidy. I’m sure all the purging and organizing will leave you feeling the same, just what you need with a babe on the way! Best wishes!!!
Now I definitely need to shop for faux pumpkins! Yours are so sweet! Your bedroom looks so cozy, pretty and clean, and you have a perfect bed to crawl into on a cool fall day. Enjoy!
Thank you so, so much Joann! It’s so hard to find pumpkins this time of year, so I’m always grateful for my faux versions!
I love all of your neutral pumpkins! You’re done such a beautiful job of adding cozy fall vibes to your space! <3
Thanks so much sweet friend! Although today’s snow has got me thinking it’s almost time to switch out those pumpkins for Christmas trees!
