Good morning! Kelly back from North Country Nest for another quick and easy DIY.
In case you missed my magnolia style book page wreath, let me remind you that I am a complete sucker for crafts using book pages. Which is why I want to share with you another fun one; a DIY book page and burlap banner.
If you’re anything like us, your summers are chaotic and crazy and beautiful, leaving little time for decorating. Not to worry, though. You probably spend more time cleaning up your kitchen after dinner than you would on this project 🙂
The Supplies
Twine
Burlap
Scissors
Book pages
Ribbon
Hot glue gun and glue
Mini clothes pins
Craft paint
Paint brush
‘LOVE’ stickers
Carbon paper
How to Make a Book Page and Burlap Banner
Cut four book page banners
Cut five burlap banners
Cut nine pieces of ribbon the same width as the banners
Write one letter of L O V E on each book page banner – I traced stickers that I had around onto carbon paper
Fill in the letters with your go-to craft paint
Using the hot glue gun, secure the ribbon to the top of each banner
Once it’s dry, space the banners along a piece of twine and clip them together using the mini clothes pins

Hang up on a mantel or on the top of a hutch and enjoy!

Haven’t made a banner in while but yours has stirred me to get busy on one. Not sure what will use or what title will be but a banner I shall make, thanks for inspiration. Any other projects like vacuuming will just have to wait their turn, not the first (or am sure, not the last), lol.
Happy days
