A sweet and simple succulent planter you can keep anywhere! These succulent mason jar planters are so quick and inexpensive to make and the best part, you won’t have to worry about watering!
Hello! Welcome back to another round up of beautiful decorating ideas that you can whip up in just 10 minutes or less!
Y’all, I’m seriously SO excited about this series! I mean honestly, who doesn’t have 10 minutes to spare?
On the first Wednesday of each month, I’ve been teaming up with an amazing group of bloggers to bring you all sorts of inspiration that you’re sure to love. This month’s theme was {from the garden} and I cannot wait to see what everyone came up with!
Now, gardening has never really been my thing.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing I love more than incorporating nature into my decor. Over the years I’ve brought home many a pretty plant, but they never seem to stay that way for long. This my friends, has been an ongoing struggle for years now…
Girl sees lovely plant in even lovelier pot and can’t resist bringing it home.
Girl creates a plant shrine in front of sunny window, waters this thing and shows it all sorts of love.
Plant loses it’s flowers, turns twenty shades of brown and basically gives up on life.
Girl tosses yet another dead plant in the trash.
And so the story goes…
At least until I discovered the magic of faux!
Okay, so I’m sure there are some plant puritans out there that can spot a fake from a mile away. In fact, they’re probably cringing just reading this. I wish I could fill every room with the real deal, full of colour and life! But, honestly, I’ve given up. And I have to say, not only do I love the no maintenance approach, but even more, I love how faux looks so perfect and pristine no matter the season, temperature, sunlight, water, blah, blah, blah. It’s just too darn easy to resist!
And so, I’ll be cheating my way through this month’s “from the garden” theme with these sweet little faux mason jar succulent planters.
Armed with a couple of itsy-bitsy mason jars, a handful of small rocks, a bit of moss and of course, some faux succulents faux succulents, I had these little planters whipped up in just minutes.
I started by covering the bottom of my jars with pebbles.
Then, I filled the rest of the jar with a bit of moss.
And finally, I tucked my succulent pick into the centre, folding the end up as needed to have it sitting at just the right height.
And that’s it!
These sweet little succulent mason jar planters were SO quick to make and just love that, because they don’t need any sunlight, I can put them pretty much anywhere! See how they’ve brightened up our new closet space!
And don’t miss these other fab mason jar projects too…
Now I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to check out what the other gals came up with…
MY SOULFUL HOME
Wishing you SUCH a lovely day!
