These pretty little DIY farmhouse tea towels are such an easy way to add a little shabby-chic style to your kitchen!
Hello! Welcome back to another round up of beautiful decorating ideas that you can whip up in just 10 minutes or less!
Y’all, I’m seriously SO excited about this series! I mean honestly, who doesn’t have 10 minutes to spare?
On the first Wednesday of each month, I’ve been teaming up with an amazing group of bloggers to bring you all sorts of inspiration that you’re sure to love. This month’s theme was {Kitchen LOVE} and I absolutely cannot wait to see what everyone came up with!
I struggled a bit with this month’s theme, simply because, well, I don’t really love my kitchen. In fact, I don’t even like it. And unfortunately, I can’t really fix any of the things that make me dislike it so much in just ten minutes. I talked a lot about it all in our plans for 2016. Here’s hoping we’ve got a kitchen we love for 2017!
In the mean time, I’ve created a quick little project that will help sweeten up that new kitchen when it does finally happen for us…
I started with some simple flour sack tea towels and some lovely crochet ribbon.
Then, I suppose you can probably guess the rest. It was just a matter of sewing the crochet ribbon onto the tea towels and…
Voila! Farmhouse style tea towels with the most lovely shabby-chic look!
These sweet little farmhouse style tea towels took me just a few minutes to whip up, but I’m head over heels in love with them!!!
Now, you won’t want to miss the beautiful kitchen projects my talented bloggy friends have put together in just 10 minutes or less!

Wishing you SUCH a lovely day!
Stunning Kristi!! I just adore the touch of crochet edging you gave these towels! So clever to display them on a ladder too! These will make gorgeous quick and easy gifts for teachers, moms, sisters and bff’s!! Pinned 🙂

Love your towels. How do you keep them white without bleaching the lace?
Thanks Laura! I use Oxy Clean for whites or colour safe bleach. 🙂
These are so pretty!! I don’t have the country kitchen look, but I’m sure I can find black and white to do this to match my kitchen. Maybe even add in a splash of red to really make them pop!! I can’t wait to get to the fabric shop!! Thanks so much for this awesome idea!! *Hugs* (PS. I love the milk jug!!)
Oh Amy, you could totally make these any style you’d like! So happy you’re feeling inspired! Thanks so much!!!

Thanks so much! I’m thrilled that you love it!
Very beautiful! I think crocheted lace can make almost anything look better, so adding it to simple towels is a great idea. Good luck with your kitchen!
Thank you SO much Rebecca!!!

Awwww, well thank you Kimberly!
I can’t really do much about my kitchen, either. My husband doesn’t want to put any money into it until we can do it “right” by ripping off the entire rear section of the house! That will be a good 10 years from now at this rate. Maybe 20. In the meantime I am doing little things here and there to add accents that I like. I like the look of your tea towels. The lace is a nice touch!
Thanks so much Lindsay! Here’s hoping we both find ourselves living with dream kitchens soon(ish)!
very pretty Kristi.
Thanks so much Vanessa!
What a super cute project, simple enough for non-crafty people like me! I love how much character it gives those tea towels!
Thank you SO much Christine! I’m so happy you love them!

Awwww, well thank you Sherry!
Can you tell me if you painted the green metals containers or did they come that way? Fi so what did you use??? Thanks
I didn’t paint them Sherry, I picked them up as a set at IKEA – I actually just saw them there today again, so I know they’re still around too 🙂
