Fall Family Photos

Happy Friday!!!

Things have been a bit quiet around here as I take a much needed break after my crazy adventure with {all things Fall}, but I promise, I’ve got a couple of cute projects to share next week that will be worth the wait!

If you follow along on Facebook and Instagram, you may have seen a few sneak peeks of our recent family photo shoot a few short weeks ago. We haven’t had professional photos taken since Carson was just a few months old, so it was long overdue! Sometimes I find it’s hard to justify spending money on photos when we’ve certainly captured a few pretty great ones on our own, but then we have professional photos taken and I’m so blown away by their beauty that I remember instantly what a difference having a really great photographer makes! It might be easy to forget or set aside as life gets busy, but it’s certainly not hard to remember how important it is to freeze these moments as those days turn into months and years before our eyes! And having amazing photos to look back on means the world!

I love looking through other people’s family photos for inspiration when it comes time to snap our own, so I thought I’d share a few of ours with the hopes that it might give you some ideas about outfits, backdrops, landscapes, ect. for your own family shoot (hopefully I’m inspiring you to plan one of those too!). Not to mention that I’ve been dying to share our GORGEOUS Fall family photos since we had them taken a few weeks ago!!! Because our photographer was SO talented and I couldn’t possibly choose just a “few”, today I’ll be overloading y’all with pictures from our Fall family shoot!

I don’t have to tell you how lucky we were to have found Tamara at Wanderlust Photography – she was SO perfect to work with, has an amazing way with children and clearly knew exactly what she was doing with every spot she chose & every crazy position she shot in. I honestly could go on and on about how absolutely wonderful she is and how incredibly happy we are with our stunning pictures, but really, her pictures speak for themselves! Pop on over to her website for more info or to take a peek at her beautiful photos, and follow along with her on Facebook so you’re the first to know about any special events or deals she may have on the go (like her Christmas Mini-sessions, which you can read more about here).

How are we ever going to choose which ones to hang on our walls? I’m already on the hunt for a new gallery wall spot to fill up with these amazing pictures!!!

Wishing you SUCH a lovely weekend!

  1. gorgeous! Absolutely adore Carson’s photo where he’s in flight. From one Canadian gal to another, keep enjoying our beautiful seasons! I’m near Ottawa and the leaves are stunning…wish I was near the ocean and mountains though. Love your blog and am excited to see your posts. Keep up the great work!

    1. You are SO sweet Darlene! What a lovely comment to wake up to!!! I know just the photo you mean and it’s one of my favorites too! The leaves are just raining from the trees now – won’t be long before it’s all covered in snow! Thank you SO, SO much Darlene!!! Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. These are all so beautiful! I think professional photos are totally worth it and now you’ll have those memories forever 🙂 Can’t wait to see how you use them in your home! Happy Weekend 🙂

  3. LOVE them, Kristi!! Absolutely adorable. Your little guy is just ridiculously cute! We love getting professional photos done! We are so thankful to have my sister and brother-in-law who have their own photography business and take all of our family photos!! Such a great way to capture memories. 🙂

    1. Awwww, you are much too sweet! We are SO lucky to live in such a beautiful place, though I must say that I miss the big skies of the prairies sometimes too!!!
