Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! Today, I wanted to chat a bit about our laundry/mudroom, more specifically the lighting. Since painting out the doors & contrast trim throughout these spaces a few weeks ago, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect flush mount lights to finish it off. Originally, I’d purchased two of these beauties on sale, falling head-over-heels in love with their perfect balance of modern and traditional. I LOVED the design on that milky porcelain shade and that little pop of unlacquered brass at the top, but once we’d got that first one installed in our mudroom area, we realized that the lighting was just too dim to really be functional in here. They’d be perfect in a smaller space, or one that needed some lower lighting such as a living room maybe, but they just weren’t going to cut it in this mudroom. So, I found myself scouring the internet for some new lighting options for our laundry & mudroom spaces and I cannot wait to show you what I found!

I really love the idea of pairing two different sized, but coordinating options in here – a larger light for our mudroom area and a smaller one for the hallway that leads to the rest of our house.
