Packed with chia seeds, frozen fruit and natural sugars, this homemade strawberry chia jam recipe is the easiest (and healthiest) homemade jam you'll ever make!

Strawberry Chia Jam

Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen strawberries (or any other berries you'd like)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest

Instructions

  1. In a medium pot, stir together the berries, maple syrup and salt. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes until the berries have softened.

  2. Mash the berries (I like to use a potato masher) until mostly smooth.

  3. Add the chia seeds and stir until combined. Simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently for 10-12 minutes, until the mixture has thickened.

  4. Stir in the vanilla, lemon juice and lemon zest. Pour into a jar and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Recipe Notes

Jam will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
