A little faux sprig and a bit of ribbon can go such a long way to adding some extra special touches around the house through the holidays! There are so many places I could put these little bundles to work, but I love the simplicity of hanging them over our sconces.

Spent some time styling our mantel for the holiday

Spent some time styling our mantel for the holidays this afternoon. It’s not quite done yet - I’d love to add something else to that right side to bring a bit more height and balance, work in a bit of colour with some ribbon and I’m thinking I’ll maybe add a wreath over the mirror. But, I’d say it’s a pretty good start at least. This corner is definitely feeling much more festive now.

This year’s tree has been sitting empty for weeks now as I figure out just how I want to decorate it. Luckily, I’ve come up with some fun ideas that I can’t wait to bring to life! Though I plan to make use of many of the same ornaments from Christmases past (mercury glass is such a versatile and classic choice), I’m excited to try something a bit different this year. Christmas is ever so slowly spreading its cheer throughout the house. Through all our years of renovating we’ve learned that creating a home takes time as we collect, change and hone to make a space feel like our own. Christmas is no different. We’ve been slowly unpacking all the things, taking our time to find just the right spot for each and every treasure, and enjoying every bit of the journey along the way. 🎄Although, to be fair, Carson’s had his bedroom filled the brim with all of his own holiday favourites since the day after Halloween. 🤣
