The easiest way to dress up your walls is to add in some fun wallpaper! See where you can find the trendiest farmhouse style wallpaper without breaking the bank!As a blogger (and aspiring interior designer), I love scouring Pinterest for the latest design trends.
I know, I know. You can’t just do all the trendy stuff. In an instant the trend will be gone and you’ll be left wishing you hadn’t jumped on the bandwagon.
But, recently, I’ve found myself doing/making/decorating however will make me happy, regardless of the latest trends. I think if you find a balance between on trend and classic you’ll be left with a result that will last.
One such design trend that I adore is wallpaper. And this isn’t your grandmother’s wallpaper.
Like this gorgeous black and white floral wallpaper used by Studio Mcgee! It compliments the black fixtures and black hexagon floor tile (LOVE) without being too overpowering.
Maybe you’re seeing a trend starting now. You can definitely use wallpaper to get a farmhouse look! Like this AMAZING black and white floral wallpaper. I mean … swoon!
It doesn’t have to be all floral wallpaper though. I love this whimsical looking design from Vintage Refined.
Or, check out how this dining room is totally transformed by the blue floral wallpaper. Imagine what it would look like without the wallpaper!
We even used wallpaper in our farmhouse girl’s nursery closet. I was a bit hesitant to use wallpaper in general (remember that whole “trendy” point from above?). BUT, that being said, I stuck with my gut and love love love how it looks in her room.
You can get wallpaper everywhere now!
And there are truly SO many styles, colors, and patterns that you’re bound to find something you love. Plus, I guess they have some cool technology now that makes a lot of wallpapers removable without the painstaking process that is removing older (aka 80s and 90s) wallpaper.
If you’re not ready to wallpaper an entire wall or room just yet (and I’m hoping to convince you that is IS ok to do that), I wrote an entire post about 6 fun and unique ways to use wallpaper in your home. Hint – you can use it more places than just a wall!
Are you ready to dip your toes into the wallpaper trend? I decided to round up some of my favorite farmhouse style wallpapers you can get on a budget! It will add an instant pop of interest and design to any space!
When I picture the perfect farmhouse style wallpaper, I envision whimsical flowers and relatively neutral or muted colors. I tried to choose a variety of styles that fit under the umbrella “Farmhouse” theme.
Also a note: My absolute FAVORITE place to shop for wallpaper (or fabric if I could sew) is Spoonflower. It’s basically a collection of independent artists who draw and design their own stuff (talk about impressive!) and you can then buy it in the form of wallpaper or fabric. There are a ton of designs to choose from so don’t take my list as all-inclusive.
I can vouch for Spoonflower having great content and quality. It’s what we used in our nursery closet! I haven’t tried the other companies, but, I’ve heard good things!

Husband is putting board and batton in our open staircase2/3 up the wall- thinking of doing the rest in wallpaper/ have you used the peel and stick kind? Ive put up wallpaper with paste but it s so messy. What farmhouse type paper would you suggest with a grey green board and batton?

Lovely ideas but like to know where can I find remnants of the blue hollyhock used in the ‘Dear Lillie’ bath makeover. Its sold as 2 rolls for over $600. I don’t need as much and it’s way over my budget. I’ve already looked at Spoonflower and nothing goes near it in color or design. Thx for advice.
