Fall decorating ideas from making it in the mountains
Good morning and a VERY happy Wednesday!
Well, the last two weeks have been an absolute whirlwind around here! Not only have we been tackling all sorts of projects around the house, whittling away at our crazy long to-do list, but we’ve also spent the last two weekends out of town gallivanting with our friends (and their little ones) to boot! As if that wasn’t enough, I was so inspired by the beautiful Fall homes taking over the blogging world that I just needed to fill our home with {all things Fall} too! Without a single, solitary Fall decoration to my name, I had to start this crazy journey right from scratch!!! So, really, what choice did I have but to take on two full weeks of Fall projects to share with y’all for 14 days straight?! Okay, in all honesty, there were at least a zillion times that I cursed myself for thinking up this hair-brained scheme! Mostly because I couldn’t have picked a busier two weeks to tackle this all. Luckily, everything turned out beautifully and each and every stressful minute was absolutely and totally worth it!
See for yourself…
It all started with my front porch and entryway. This is what everyone sees first when they visit our home, so to me, it was the most important place to start.
I wanted to keep things fairly neutral here with the hopes that I could re-purpose a lot of the decor through the Christmas season. My very first project was this burlap and lace garland and I just love how light and bright it looks in our entryway!
That shabby-chic look had me swooning so much that I couldn’t help but deck out my pumpkins too!
I was also sure to warm up the outside of our home with this super simple barnwood sign. We picked up the boards from a scrap pile at the house going up across the street and we were so lucky to find such perfectly Fall colours!!!
And who could forget this rustic feather wreath?! It’s simple, but elegant with the muted colours and a touch of gold!
With a few finishing touches, like these chalk painted mason jars complete with GOLD wax, we had ourselves a warm and welcoming front porch and entryway SO perfect for Fall!
The neutral decor continued into our dining area with this scrappy burlap and lace wreath, which was another super simple, but super cute craft!
And the easiest ever burlap and lace table runner! I still can’t believe it cost me just a few dollars to make!!!
Last, but certainly not least, I cozied up our fireplace for Fall with all sorts of fun, rustic touches.
These pretty, painted pumpkins added a touch of sparkle and glam.
And this felted acorn garland was my most favorite project of them all!!! I just love those sweet little acorns!
The perfect finishing touch to it all was this DIY reed diffuser for Fall, which I made with just a few simple ingredients. It has our house smelling SO lovely and warm!
I really couldn’t be happier with how it’s all come together! It may have been a BUSY couple of weeks, but now I can just curl up in front of my beautiful Fall fireplace and enjoy it all!!!
Did you have a favorite Fall project?
